“I ready myself to put the paintbrush to canvas and tingle with anticipation as the mystery of creation tantalizes me. This feeling is always present in me as I’m sure it was with the impressionists who have influenced me. The unifying element that gives shape to the subjects of my paintings comes from my fascination with texture.” – Val Moker
