Rubble Road Soapstone Kits is a family business and third-generation stone carvers who create do-it-yourself soapstone carving kits for all ages made from Brazilian soapstone! They believe anybody, at any age, can carve soapstone. They have assembled kits with animal shapes based on Canadian animals. The shapes have been roughly outlined so it gives you a starting point.

To make these kits, they take 2000lb soapstone boulders and cut them into smaller pieces with a chainsaw.  They then take those pieces and put them onto a bandsaw and make slabs.  They then mark their shapes onto those slabs and cut them out on the bandsaw. After that they kit and label.  All cutting and kitting is done by their team of three in Edmonton.
