Rick Climans Trio

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14

The Rick Climans Jazz Group, based in Calgary, has been performing their brand of cool, funky jazz across Alberta for the past 18 years. Blues and Latin elements are strong components of the group’s sound, as they take jazz standards and perform them with their own unique twist!

Rick Climans on saxes. Rick is a life-long saxophonist and teaching artist. He studied jazz improvisation with world-renowned saxophonist Pat LaBarbera in Toronto. Rick has played in diverse genres from jazz to rhythm and blues, and from pop/rock to synth wave to classical. He’s performed across North America, including New Orleans, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Phoenix, and Toronto.

Morgan McKee on keyboards. Morgan has a strong musical pedigree having graduated from the iconic Berklee College of Music in Boston. He is a busy piano instructor in the Central Alberta region and is the musical director and performer in a multitude of theatrical productions.

Tyler Reimer on drums. Tyler has been on the Calgary music scene for many years, known for his strong percussion performances in a wide range of genres. He is a jazz and pop freelance drummer, and plays for a popular rock group besides playing in Rick’s Jazz Group and other bands. Tyler is also a percussion instructor for students and players of all ages.


Tequila Gold

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15

“Tequila Gold” is the ultimate Party Band. They are versatile musicians who can play Classic Rock, Jazz, Top 40 Dance, or Country.

Kenny is the guitar player/vocalist and one of the finest anywhere in Western Canada. Nominated for Country Guitarist of the year in 2020, Kenny formerly played with his own band “Jo Hikk” and travelled extensively in Canada and the US. He entertained on countless Canadian Country Band Tours in Khandahar, Kosovo, and many other cities in the Middle East, and shows for the Canadian Troops Tours. His crossover style is a welcome addition to any song that the band plays.

John is the keyboard player/vocalist and manager of the band. He was the musical director for the opening of the Hard Rock Cafe in Calgary. He is also one of the lead singers in the band and is the keyboard player. John formerly played with recording artists Buddy Knox, The Drifters, The Coasters, The Marvelettes, Wolfman Jack and played in Western Canada with Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show. Mark is the lead vocalist/bass player in the band and is very well known in Western Canada as one of the best singers on the circuit. He is a Tom Petty style vocalist.

CHARMS are Husband & Wife duo Meg & Denis Dufresne. The two are celebrated and award-winning vocalists and Instrumentalists
both playing violin, mandolin and guitar. Together, they cover a wide range of popular music in the Instrumental style of Bridgerton while
also covering an extensive amount of Roots/Canadiana Vocals. Both have toured the world separately and together playing
command performances for His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales, the Saudi Royal Family, the Prince of Monaco, the Duke and Duchess
Will and Kate and several Canadian Prime Ministers. Megan is Western Canada’s Premier Bollywood Violinist and Denis is the current CCMA “Fiddle Player of the Year”
